So apparently this guy got his Xbox, an old MacBook and his TV stolen. The burglar was caught on tape at a pawn shop. The police did nothing to help the victim. The victim then received a message via Xbox LIVE supposedly from the burglar. SO with that 3rd idiotic move (the 1st: being a thief, the 2nd: caught on tape) the victim blogged about it and posted links to his gamerTag. The "Internets Legion" went into full force on Digg and got nearly every bit of intel on him you could think of: youTube, myspace, instant messaging, even his address and phone number. The Internet Legion went crazy leaving this kid all kinds of messages in Xbox LIVE, IM, youTube, MySpace etc.

The victim, upon further investigation by him and not his police, believes that this kid isn't the burglar but just some moron who bought stolen goods.

Dear Internet, thanks for having my back. I am amazed at the response I have had. Unfortunately I think this kid only bought the xbox from the actual robber for $200 and then tried to act tough by leaving me that message, apparently he didn’t know that I roll deep. The kid is scared and I will be in contact with his parents shortly so there’s probably no need to continue harassing him. He is already immortalized by the internet as a MORON! ~ McFearsome

But the damage by the "Internets Legion" is done and this kid is now internet famous in the worse possible way. Sure it sounds like we went a bit over the top gunning for this kid, but after seeing his youTube video of him trying to rap, he deserves his title of MORON.

Maybe this kind of attention will show him that he needs to quit posing like a wannabe "Fiddy" Cent. Just because you talk and dress like your an African American, it doesn't make you one. It makes you look like some white trash, redneck, idiot.

I miss the brown sectional. In it's own magical way, it had the ability to relieve you of your worries, making you feel chill. It would bring back childhood memories of your own home miles away. I'm thinking of getting one for my own place. But my apartment would be too small to recreate the original 'black hole'. That's why they make them in sections. I could by one piece at a time, it would be easier to move and wouldn't take up so much space if it were to replace our current couches which are behemoths. Guess I'll have to add that to my list, right after: pay off student loans, pay off other debt, take a vacation, move to another country, get better health care, enjoy life.

Lost Wisdom Still Got Guilt At The Cost of Pride

I got my wisdom teeth pulled this morning. I wasn't going to go thru with it. But after telling my parents about it they kept insisting I get it done and that it was absolutely not a big deal that they wanted to help me out financially on this one. So I went thru with the operation, which was both a success and a blur. The last I remember, as I was inhaling the nitrous oxide was the doc and nurse applying some kind of freezing/numbing spray to my arm as they stuck me with an iV. I asked them a question or two: What region are you from doc? (She said her and her staff were all Polish). I told them I recognize the accent because my dad was a mail carrier and delivered in a polish/lithuanian part of my old stomping grounds. I then asked her what tooth would she start with first. She was actually surprised at that question and proceeded to tell me with her index finger what tooth she was going after first and then the rest of the order. I zonked out after that, waking up in the recovery room, really sluggish.

As Serena and the doctor talked about the meds I was going to be taking, I felt relieved it was over so quickly yet still felt guilt about the whole payment thing. Had I scheduled the operation much later I'm sure I could've saved up enough of my own money and not have to resort to going to my parents. But by then my teeth would have gotten worse. And with Serena's teeth almost in the same situation as mine on top of her other health problems, I grow worried that I won't be able to help her like my parents helped me in a pinch. I've talked about this with Serena and she says she often gets jealous that I have such a caring family that is willing to help out at the drop of hat and also does so much together as a family. Serena doesn't have that kind of family, but I keep telling her she's considered family by mine and I'm sure they'll help her as much as they would help me or any other member of my family.

But still, we are both adults and we should be able to handle this on our own, relying only on my family for comfort and advice. We've both made a lot of choices and sacrifices to just get by on our own. Maybe it's time we made a bigger choice for the better. A hard choice that will separate from those we love even more. A choice that in itself will require a lot of strength and determination to see it thru to the end. What's at the end? Living comfortably, knowing that if I have to, Serena and I can go to a hospital get properly treated and leave guilt free.

2am on the dot: cell rings, "who the- better not be mom.. oh ok-" Jax is in a bind and needs help finding a random intersection in mt. prospect. after a few minutes with no luck on maps.google, gary joins search on maps.yahoo.. another couple of minutes of frantic searching later- abandoning the intersection and zeroing in on the individual streets- gary finds the first, and i find the crossing street shortly after. YAY! the night's shenanigans seem over, waiting for the confirmation and pickup.

ROUND 2
2:16am: arrival, but package is not at designated rendezvous point; wandered astray, but was easily found a block west and 2 south of original location. friendly jabs ensued about subject, ;) and once again, a couple of night owls and the system of tubes saves the day.

now, back to your regularly scheduled programming..

Going on without A TV for three weeks straight. With the right parts ordered (hopefully) repairs are scheduled for next week on the 19th. Didn't want to spend money on a secondary TV, especially with X-mas shopping to be done. So most likely, I'll be making great use of my PC's DVD playing capabilities and also constant surf of the Internets. This would be a good time to tinker with my PC when off work and then crash it and spend the following day reloading everything. Oh wait. I'm in the process of that right now. LOL

As an employee, I was guaranteed a spot as long as I showed up. Though I had to wait til all the customers were taken care of, it was a nice turn out for Wii pre-orders. The earliest of the customers hanging out since 4am. *ouch* It paid to be an employee today. LOL The customers were nice (mostly regulars who love our store) and were thanked a lot for their patience. Scott (the manager) ran the whole pre-order business like clockwork with his team just as enthusiastic. I guess that's why he's one of the best managers in the area.

Anyway, got my pre-order taken care of with no problems. Even Serena tagged along for support. She's excited about Super Monkey Ball and Rayman: Raving Rabbits. I also pre-ordered LOZ:Twilight Princess and Red Steel. Looks like working one day a week at the store til launch nite should cover all the expenses. Sweet.

So on my way home from work today it was raining fairly hard and leaves were blowing in the wind. One particular leaf hopped across the road just like a frog, which led me to think: "How big would Frogger have to be in order to be life-sized?" Just think about that. In the classic arcade game, Frogger was about a lane large. That would be a very VERY big frog. I just imagined a gigantic frog hopping in front of me as I drove.

I've found myself taking 5 minute breaks from work, in between projects and just to relax my eyes, by playing some of the Xbox LIVE Arcade games. I've recently downloaded a few to beef up the catalog and all of them are worth while downloads.

I thought I'd post the following below for Jason since he and Gary are deep in PC problems again. And this is blog-worthy. Looks like I might have to make another housecall.

i swear gary is cursed. instead of waiting for another drive, he
loaded xp onto the free part of his media drive, and wants to offload
his media to the serial drive.. except we still cant get it to
recognize the drive in the first place. AND i cant figure out just
yet what motherboard he has in there, so i cant get all the *other*
drivers on there. *AND* he tried to update the video driver for his
videocard.. and it tells him that no compatible card exists. its
stupid/hilarious to me but he gets pretty irritated cuz shit dont
work, heheh.

oh and heres my payback: i had him try and swap my video cards, and
turns out the loud one in the not-hp is a pci-express, so i couldnt
swap it. [now i *am* thinking about a zalman vpu fan or something;
gotta be cheaper than a new pciex card.] but my payback: now since i
had gary touch the insides of *my* computer, it refuses to recognize
my sound card. A FREAKIN MAZING, hahaha

and im only realizing now that this shit is blog- worthy, sigh. whatev NERDS
